Creates section 193.624 defining "renewable energy source device" to include solar collectors, wind turbines, geothermal equipment, storage systems, and related interconnecting equipment, excluding conventional backup systems and swimming pools.

Excludes the increase in assessed value attributable to renewable energy source device installations made on or after January 1, 2013, from property assessments for both new and existing residential real property.

Amends sections 193.155 and 193.1554 to add exceptions to homestead and nonhomestead property assessments by cross-referencing the new renewable energy exclusion provision.

Deletes the definition of "renewable energy source device" from section 196.012 and repeals section 196.175, consolidating renewable energy device definitions into the new section 193.624.

Effective July 1, 2013, with applicability to assessments beginning January 1, 2014.
