Creates public records exemption for determinations of legal sufficiency relating to alleged violations of the Code of Ethics for Public Officers and Employees (part III of chapter 112, F.S.)

Creates public meetings exemption for any proceeding conducted by the Commission on Ethics or local ethics commissions relating to such legal sufficiency determinations

Authorizes the Commission on Ethics and its staff to share investigative information with criminal investigative agencies despite confidentiality requirements

Exemptions remain in effect until complaint is dismissed as legally insufficient, alleged violator requests public disclosure, investigation is declined, or probable cause determination is made

Exemptions subject to Open Government Sunset Review Act and automatically repeal on October 2, 2018, unless reenacted by the Legislature; effective date contingent on passage of House Bill 233 or similar legislation
