CS/HB 341 Summary

• Amends Florida Statute 627.727 to establish that when a named insured, applicant, or lessee signs an office-approved form accepting non-stacking uninsured motorist coverage limitations, it creates a conclusive presumption of informed, knowing acceptance on behalf of all insureds.

• Permits insurers to offer policies with non-stacking provisions that prevent coverage from multiple vehicles from being combined and limit coverage based on the vehicle being occupied at the time of the accident.

• Requires insurers offering limited coverage to file revised premium rates reflecting at least a 20 percent reduction in uninsured motorist coverage premiums compared to standard coverage.

• Allows named insureds to request deletion of non-stacking limitations at any policy renewal by paying the appropriate premium difference for full coverage.

• Effective upon becoming law.
