Employee contracts for charter schools may not extend beyond the term of the school's charter contract and must void any remaining compensation if the school closes.

Service provider and vendor operation contracts for charter schools may not extend beyond the charter contract term and must void any remaining compensation upon school closure.

Both employee and service provider/vendor contract requirements apply only to agreements entered into on or after July 1, 2013.

Charter school violations of these contract requirements constitute good cause for closure of the charter school under existing law.

The act takes effect July 1, 2013.
