Revises reimbursement requirements for repackaged or relabeled prescription medications dispensed by practitioners, requiring calculation based on 112.5 percent of the original manufacturer's average wholesale price plus $8.00 dispensing fee instead of the standard rate.

Requires all pharmaceutical claims for repackaged or relabeled prescription medications to include the National Drug Code of the original manufacturer.

Prohibits a dispensing practitioner from possessing prescription medication purchased under these requirements unless payment has been made to the supplying manufacturer, wholesaler, distributor, or drug repackager within 60 days of taking possession.

Allows employers, carriers, or service entities acting on their behalf to directly contract with providers for lower reimbursement amounts, with restrictions requiring providers be reasonably accessible to employees.

Takes effect July 1, 2013.
