Extends the period between parole interview dates from 2 years to 7 years for inmates convicted of murder, sexual battery, kidnapping, robbery, burglary of a dwelling, burglary of a structure or conveyance, or breaking and entering where a human being is present and a sexual act is attempted or completed

Requires periodic parole interviews at 7-year intervals for inmates with vacated parole release orders who are convicted of the specified violent crimes listed above, provided the commission finds parole is not reasonably expected

Allows the commission to schedule reinterview dates before the 7-year schedule for inmates within 7 years of their tentative release date

Amends Florida Statutes sections 947.16, 947.174, and 947.1745 to implement the extended interview timelines and reenacts section 947.165 to incorporate related amendments

Takes effect July 1, 2013
