Requires health care practitioners licensed under chapter 464 to disclose that they are not medical doctors or osteopathic physicians when presenting themselves with the title "Doctor" or "Dr." orally or in writing while rendering or advertising health care services.

Adds presenting oneself as "Doctor" or "Dr." without proper disclosure as grounds for disciplinary action under Florida Statutes section 456.072.

Establishes a third-degree felony offense, punishable under sections 775.082, 775.083, or 775.084, for practitioners who use "Doctor" or "Dr." title without disclosure and with intent to mislead.

The criminal penalty applies only when there is intent to mislead, while disciplinary action under section 456.072 can be taken regardless of intent.

Takes effect October 1, 2013.
