• Increases membership of the Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology from 11 to 12 members to enhance available expertise.

• Adds one new member appointed by the Governor who is a licensed professional structural engineer with expertise in wind mitigation techniques.

• Commission remains administratively housed within the State Board of Administration but independently exercises its specified powers and duties.

• Members serve without compensation but receive reimbursement for per diem and travel expenses; State Board of Administration provides travel, expenses, and staff support.

• Effective date is July 1, 2013.
