Exempts personal identifying information (credit card, debit card, or check data) provided to the Department of Transportation, counties, or expressway authorities for toll payment from public records requirements under Florida Statutes and the State Constitution.

Exemption applies to information used for paying, prepaying, or collecting tolls and associated administrative charges for toll facilities.

Exemption is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and automatically repeals on October 2, 2018, unless the Legislature reviews and reenacts it.

Legislature finds the exemption necessary to protect public health and safety by keeping confidential location information of individuals using toll roads, and to protect privacy regarding finances and location data.

Act takes effect upon becoming law.
