Authorizes Miami-Dade County to appropriate $470,000 each to Monica Cantillo Acosta and Luis Alberto Cantillo Acosta as compensation for the wrongful death of their mother, Nhora Acosta, resulting from a 2004 bus driver's negligence.

Stems from a November 2004 incident where a Miami-Dade County bus driver suddenly accelerated and braked, causing Nhora Acosta to fall and suffer severe head injuries that led to her death on November 13, 2004.

A jury found the bus driver 100 percent negligent on November 5, 2007, and determined damages of $3 million for each child; the parties subsequently settled for $1,140,000 total, with the county having already paid $200,000 under statutory liability limits.

Limits attorney fees, lobbying fees, costs, and other similar expenses relating to this claim to a maximum of 25 percent of the total amount awarded.

Declares the amounts awarded as sole compensation for all present and future claims arising from the incident; takes effect upon becoming law.
