HB 4015 Summary

• Removes the provision in Florida Statute 316.2095 that prohibits motorcycle handlebars or handgrips from extending higher than the operator's shoulders when properly seated
• Retains the requirement that motorcycles carrying passengers must be equipped with footrests for those passengers
• Maintains the classification of violations of this section as noncriminal traffic infractions punishable as nonmoving violations under chapter 318
• Takes effect July 1, 2013
