Revises judicial nominating commission appointments to allow the Governor to remove appointed members (except those selected from Florida Bar nominee lists) at his pleasure, rather than for cause only.

Establishes that expired terms or vacancies on judicial nominating commissions shall be filled by appointment in the same manner as the member whose position is being filled.

Removes the requirement that the Executive Office of the Governor establish uniform rules of procedure when suspending for cause a member of a judicial nominating commission.

Consolidates the nominating process for Judges of Compensation Claims by allowing the First District Court of Appeal's judicial nominating commission to nominate persons for that office, eliminating the separate nominating commission.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
