Re-creates the Mortgage Guaranty Trust Fund within the Office of Financial Regulation (FLAIR number 43-2-487), which was scheduled for termination on July 1, 2014 under constitutional mandate.

Repeals subsection (4) of section 494.00173, Florida Statutes, which contained provisions related to the trust fund's termination.

Extends the life of the trust fund based on legislative findings that it continues to serve an important public purpose and that existing public policy provides adequate parameters for its use.

Takes effect July 1, 2013.
