Florida Gulf Coast University Men's Basketball Team won the 2013 Division I Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament Championship on March 9, 2013, in Macon, Georgia, earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament for the first time in university history.

On March 22, 2013, the number 15 seed FGCU Eagles defeated the number 2 seed Georgetown University Hoyas 78-68 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

On March 24, 2013, FGCU defeated the number 7 seed San Diego State University Aztecs 81-71 in Philadelphia, becoming the first number 15 seed team in NCAA history to reach the Sweet Sixteen and earning the moniker "Dunk City."

The House of Representatives salutes the team for their historic tournament wins and recognizes Head Coach Andy Enfield, Assistant Coaches Kevin Norris, Marty Richter, and Michael Fly, and all 14 team members.

A copy of the resolution shall be presented to Florida Gulf Coast University President Wilson G. Bradshaw, the coaching staff, and each team member as a token of commendation.
