Exempts home addresses, telephone numbers, and photographs of current or former Department of Health personnel whose duties include investigating or prosecuting complaints against health care practitioners or inspecting licensed practitioners or facilities from public records requirements.

Exempts names, home addresses, telephone numbers, and places of employment of spouses and children of such Department of Health personnel, as well as names and locations of schools and day care facilities attended by their children, from public disclosure.

Exemption applies only if Department of Health personnel have made reasonable efforts to protect such information from being accessible through other means available to the public.

Exemption is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and shall be repealed on October 2, 2018, unless reviewed and reenacted by the Legislature.

Legislature finds that release of identifying and location information could endanger Department of Health personnel and their families from disgruntled individuals affected by health care investigations and inspections.
