Allows former justices or judges who failed reelection or retention after more than 12 years of service to qualify as retired justices or judges for temporary duty assignments.

Disqualifies former justices or judges from serving in a retired capacity if they have been reprimanded, fined, suspended, or disciplined by the Florida Supreme Court for violations of the Code of Judicial Conduct or Bar rules.

Disqualifies former justices or judges if the Judicial Qualifications Commission has brought charges against them that were not dismissed or resulted in exoneration.

Allows any party to object to assignment of a former justice or judge in civil cases, including civil appeals.

Exempts retired judges consenting to temporary duty from renewal of membership provisions, termination limitations, and 12-month reemployment restrictions under the Elected Officers' Class retirement plan.
