Repeals section 790.338 of Florida Statutes, which previously protected the privacy of firearm owners in medical settings.

Deletes provisions from the Florida Patient's Bill of Rights that prohibited health care providers from inquiring about firearm ownership unless relevant to medical care or safety.

Removes the patient right to decline answering questions about firearm ownership or possession without affecting a physician's right to choose patients.

Eliminates the prohibition on health care provider discrimination based solely on a patient's firearm ownership or harassment about firearms during examinations.

Takes effect July 1, 2013.
