Requires instructional staff in public schools to provide instruction about the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and their impact on the nation.

Adds instruction on 9/11 attacks as a required topic under Florida Statutes section 1003.42 (Required instruction), subject to State Board of Education and district school board rules.

Encourages the State Board of Education to adopt standards and pursue assessment of this instructional requirement.

Takes effect July 1, 2013.
