Authorizes the Agency for Health Care Administration to reimburse health access settings operating as Medicaid providers for dental services provided by licensed dental hygienists to recipients younger than 21 years of age.

Allows reimbursement for dental services performed under section 466.024(2) by dental hygienists in health access settings as defined in section 466.003.

Maintains existing restrictions prohibiting Medicaid reimbursement for dental services in mobile dental units, except for units operated by county health departments, federally qualified health centers, state-approved dental educational institutions, or those providing services to Medicaid recipients 21 years and older at nursing facilities.

Effective date: July 1, 2013.
