Southwest Florida Water Management District must transfer all interests in four water control structures (P-5, P-6, P-7, and P-8) located in Polk County to the Lake Region Lakes Management District by September 30, 2013.

Transfer includes all real property interests owned by the Southwest Florida Water Management District that relate to operation of the water control structures.

Lake Region Lakes Management District assumes sole responsibility for operating the transferred structures in accordance with all applicable laws and bears all associated costs and expenses.

Act takes effect upon becoming law.
