Department of Economic Opportunity must create a dedicated web page providing comprehensive data and information relevant to business creation and expansion in Florida cities and counties.

Web page purposes include providing overview of business-conducive conditions, enabling prospective employers to evaluate business climate, and offering immediate access to specific costs for business establishment and operation in any city or county.

Local government entities must submit data to the department by October 1, 2013, including millage rates, sales surtax rates, business taxes, impact fees, sign ordinances, tree and landscaping ordinances, stormwater requirements, and utility surcharges.

Local governments must notify the department of any changes to submitted data in a timely manner and may optionally provide a 1,500-word summary highlighting business advantages in their area.

Act takes effect July 1, 2013.
