CS for SB 690 - Florida Statutes Technical Corrections

• Amends 127 Florida Statutes sections to correct cross-references, delete obsolete provisions, fix typographical and grammatical errors, and remove inconsistencies throughout state law

• Deletes expired or obsolete provisions including reporting requirements that had deadlines in 2005-2012, oversight evaluation requirements, and funding mechanisms that are no longer needed

• Corrects numerous statutory references including updates to reflect department reorganizations (Department of Community Affairs functions transferred to Department of Economic Opportunity) and agency name changes (Florida College System replacing Community Colleges)

• Makes conforming changes to reflect constitutional amendments and legislative redesignations, such as correcting references from State Board of Administration Article XII to Article IV and updating various subsection numbers that were reorganized

• Effective 60 days after adjournment of the 2013 legislative session
