Extends the period between parole interview dates from 2 years to 7 years for inmates convicted of murder, sexual battery, kidnapping, robbery with sexual component, burglary with sexual component, or sentenced to 25-year minimum mandatory sentences.

Applies the 7-year interview schedule to inmates whose parole release orders have been vacated by courts and to inmates with presumptive parole release dates more than 7 years after initial interview.

Permits the Parole Commission to schedule reviews before the 7-year schedule for inmates within 7 years of their tentative release date.

Requires the Parole Commission to state in writing the bases for finding it is not reasonable to expect parole would be granted during the following years when extending interview periods to 7 years.

Takes effect July 1, 2013.
