Requires owners and drivers of commercial motor vehicles in intrastate commerce to comply with federal regulations in 49 C.F.R. parts 382, 383, 385, and 390-397, with exception for the definition of bus in 49 C.F.R. section 390.5

Removes the October 1, 2011 date specification for when federal commercial motor vehicle rules apply, making compliance subject to current federal standards

Expands hazardous material transportation regulations to include 49 C.F.R. part 107, subpart F, in addition to existing requirements for parts 171, 172, 173, 177, 178, and 180

Eliminates the exemption from commercial motor vehicle rules for transportation of liquefied petroleum gas, removing references to Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services regulations under chapter 527

Takes effect July 1, 2013
