Exempts personal identifying information from dental workforce surveys submitted by dentists or dental hygienists to the Department of Health from public records disclosure under Florida law and the state constitution.

Permits disclosure of survey information with express written consent of the individual, by court order upon good cause, or to approved research entities with signed data-use agreements.

Prohibits research entities from using survey data for intrusive follow-up contacts, requires destruction of records after research conclusion, and restricts information use to approved protocols only.

Subject to automatic repeal on October 2, 2018, unless the Legislature reviews and reenacts the exemption under the Open Government Sunset Review Act.

Establishes the confidentiality requirement as necessary to encourage honest responses from dental professionals and ensure accurate workforce information for the state.
