Amends Florida law to limit medical negligence liability for hospitals licensed under chapter 395 of Florida Statutes.

Prohibits hospitals from being held liable for medical negligence of contracted health care providers (non-employees) unless the hospital expressly directs or exercises actual control over the specific conduct causing injury.

Extends existing liability limitations previously applied to insurers, health maintenance organizations, and prepaid health clinics to include hospitals.

Takes effect July 1, 2013.
