Raises compulsory school attendance age from 16 to 18 years old in Florida, requiring all children between ages 6 and 18 to attend school.

Eliminates the requirement for parental signature on a student's declaration of intent to terminate school enrollment at age 18, and removes the requirement for schools to notify parents of such declaration.

Requires candidates for a high school equivalency diploma to be at least 18 years of age on the examination date, removing the previous exception allowing 16-year-olds to take the test under extraordinary circumstances.

Repeals the requirement that district school boards provide GED programs to students in juvenile justice facilities who reach age 16 or notify them they are no longer required to attend school.

Takes effect July 1, 2013.
