Creates public records exemption for names, home addresses, telephone numbers, social security numbers, dates of birth, and photographs of individuals recommended as or serving as school safety marshals appointed by the Department of Education under section 1012.47.

Allows disclosure of exempt school safety marshal information to other governmental entities when necessary for their duties, to law enforcement agencies in connection with lawful duties, or to school districts where the marshal serves.

Exemption is subject to Open Government Sunset Review Act and automatically repeals on October 2, 2018, unless the Legislature reviews and reenacts it.

Legislative findings cite school shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School (December 14, 2012) and Columbine High School (April 20, 1999) as justification for protecting school safety marshals' identities to prevent them from being targeted for violence and to encourage participation in the program.

Effective date is contingent upon the effective date of related legislation (SB ____) addressing the school safety marshal program, if adopted in the same legislative session.
