Revises teacher preparation program requirements to establish uniform core curricula including Florida Educator Accomplished Practices, state content standards, scientifically researched reading instruction, and strategies for English language learners and students with disabilities.

Changes continued approval criteria for teacher preparation programs to include placement rates, retention rates, student achievement data on statewide assessments, and performance evaluations of program completers, with the Commissioner of Education determining continued approval.

Authorizes qualified private providers to offer competency-based certification programs and allows school districts to provide professional development certification programs as alternatives to traditional teacher preparation.

Requires school districts to establish and publish schedules for district-mandated assessments on their websites and report schedules to the Department of Education by October 1 annually.

Renames the Florida Teachers Lead Program as the Florida Teachers Classroom Supply Assistance Program and allows funds to be distributed to teachers via multiple methods including debit cards, with provisions for public-private partnerships to increase available funds.
