Commends Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a public service organization founded January 13, 1913, at Howard University with over 250,000 college-educated women members and 950+ chapters worldwide.

Recognizes the sorority's historical participation in the Women's Suffrage Movement and commitment to its Five-Point Program Thrust: economic development, educational development, physical and mental health, political awareness, and international awareness.

Acknowledges the sorority's 100 years of service to local communities, dialogue on public policy issues, support for education, economic growth initiatives, and improvements to minority population well-being.

Recognizes April 7-9, 2013, as the 19th annual "Delta Days at the Florida Capitol," an event where the sorority's 52 Florida and Bahamas chapters provide legislative information, host receptions, and monitor pending legislation.

Honors the late Yvonne Kennedy, past national president, and late Mercedese R. Clarke at the Seventh Annual Honorable Carrie P. Meek Servant Leadership Luncheon for their advocacy and public service contributions.
