Commends the nine Boy Scouts of America councils in Florida (Central Florida, Gulf Coast, Gulf Stream, Gulf Ridge, North Florida, South Florida, Southwest Florida, Suwannee River Area, and West Central Florida) for their service to the state and nation

Recognizes that Florida's BSA councils serve hundreds of thousands of young Floridians ages 7-20 through Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturing, Exploring, and Learning for Life programs

Acknowledges that scouts and leaders nationwide contributed over 13.4 million community service hours in 2012, providing $293 million in value through projects including Scouting for Food, Habitat for Humanity, and community beautification

Notes that more than half of NASA astronauts were former Boy Scouts, including 39 Eagle Scouts, and that 206 members of the 112th Congress and 15 current U.S. governors participated in Scouting

Recognizes the BSA's mission to teach ethical and moral values through the Scout Oath and Scout Law to develop trustworthy, loyal, helpful, and responsible youth
