Exempts the name or identity of individuals who make allegations or provide information to the Office of Inspector General of Citizens Property Insurance Corporation from public disclosure, except with written consent or court order.

Protects all information relating to the inspector general's investigation as confidential and exempt from public records laws until the investigation is completed and a determination is made.

Allows disclosure of investigation information at any time to Financial Services Commission members or the President of the Senate or Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Establishes the exemption subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act, with automatic repeal on October 2, 2018, unless reenacted by the Legislature.

Takes effect contingent upon the adoption and enactment of SB 1770 or similar legislation in the same legislative session.
