Creates s. 1004.097, F.S. to exempt personal identifying information of applicants for president, provost, or dean positions at state universities and Florida College System institutions from public records disclosure requirements under s. 119.07(1) and Art. I, s. 24(a) of the State Constitution.

Exempts meetings held to identify or vet applicants for these positions from public meeting requirements under s. 286.011 and Art. I, s. 24(b) of the State Constitution, but exemption does not apply to meetings establishing qualifications or compensation frameworks unless they would disclose personal identifying information.

Requires institutions to release the names of final-group applicants no later than 10 days before the meeting where final action or vote on employment occurs, after which all personal identifying information becomes subject to public records access.

Exemptions automatically sunset and stand repealed on October 2, 2019, unless reviewed and reenacted by the Legislature under the Open Government Sunset Review Act.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
