Each school district shall offer a for-credit college and career readiness course for 11th and 12th grade students focusing on transitions to college, trade industries, or military service, taught by trained teachers or school counselors

Students must complete an interest assessment by 9th grade and develop a curriculum plan with parental input and consent before enrolling in the course

The Department of Education shall develop course frameworks and professional development materials for the course

Course curriculum must include opportunities for students to research postsecondary institutions, take college entrance tests, write personal statements, complete financial aid applications, learn personal finance, develop resumes, and finalize a postsecondary education and career readiness plan

School districts shall inform parents about the course curriculum and activities, with parent meetings held at evening and weekend hours to review assessment results
