Food service managers must view a division-approved video about food allergies as part of certification requirements, with video approval in consultation with Food Allergy Research & Education, Inc., and the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association, Inc.

Public food service establishments must display a poster regarding food allergy awareness in a prominent place and include a notice on all menus informing customers of their obligation to inform servers about food allergies.

The Division of Hotels and Restaurants shall develop a voluntary "Food Allergy Friendly" designation program for public food service establishments and maintain a listing on its website; designated establishments must maintain and provide customers access to a master list of all ingredients used in food preparation.

The division may fine, suspend, or revoke the license of any public food service establishment that fails to comply with the poster and menu notice requirements.

The act takes effect July 1, 2014.
