Amends the rental car surcharge in Florida Statutes section 212.0606 to add a reduced surcharge for car-sharing services of $1 per usage for rentals less than 24 hours, compared to the standard $2.00 per day surcharge for traditional car rentals.

Defines "car-sharing service" as a membership-based organization requiring an application or membership fee and providing 24/7 automated access to member-owned vehicles on an hourly basis, without separate refueling or insurance fees.

Car-sharing service members using vehicles for 24 hours or more are subject to the standard $2.00 per day surcharge under subsection (1).

The surcharge does not apply to vehicle rentals from airport locations or to replacement vehicles provided at no charge during vehicle repair or service.

Takes effect January 1, 2015.
