Amends Florida Statute 790.06 to add hospitals, mental health facilities, and nursing homes to the list of locations where concealed weapons and firearms cannot be carried

Prohibits both openly carrying handguns and carrying concealed weapons or firearms in these healthcare facilities, with exceptions for security guards employed by the facility and law enforcement officers

Establishes that violation of this prohibition constitutes a second-degree misdemeanor, punishable under Florida Statutes 775.082 or 775.083

Permits licensed individuals to carry or store firearms in vehicles for lawful purposes

Takes effect July 1, 2014
