Expands the public records exemption under Florida Statutes section 815.04 to include trade secrets residing on electronic devices, in addition to computers, computer systems, and computer networks held by state agencies.

Defines trade secrets according to section 812.081 and makes such information confidential and exempt from public disclosure requirements under sections 119.07(1) and Article I, section 24(a) of the State Constitution.

Establishes that willfully, knowingly, and without authorization disclosing or taking trade secret data, programs, or supporting documentation on computers or electronic devices is an offense against intellectual property.

Declares public necessity for the exemption, citing that public disclosure would harm business interests of entities providing trade secrets to agencies and would discourage future cooperation with government.

Makes the exemption subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and sets the exemption to automatically repeal on October 2, 2019, unless reenacted by the Legislature.
