HB 733 - Second Amendment Preservation Act

• Establishes Florida Statute § 790.339 to prohibit state agencies, officials, and employees from enforcing federal firearm and ammunition regulations based on design, features, or characteristics of weapons.

• Prohibits state entities from providing material support, assistance, or participation to federal agencies in enforcing such federal firearm regulations or related investigations.

• Prohibits use of state assets, state funds, or funds allocated to local entities to aid federal agencies in enforcing specified federal firearm laws, declaring such federal laws not recognized, specifically rejected, and of no effect in Florida.

• Establishes that any state agent or employee who knowingly violates these prohibitions shall be deemed to have resigned their commission and their position or office shall be deemed vacant.

• Takes effect upon becoming law.
