Purple Heart recipients receive lifetime family annual entrance passes to Florida state parks at no charge upon presentation of written documentation of eligibility to the Division of Recreation and Parks.

The Department of Transportation must establish a prepaid toll account program allowing Purple Heart recipients to use state-owned toll facilities at no cost.

Eligible applicants must be Florida residents with a valid driver license and may apply for a window sticker transponder that grants toll-free access to all state toll facilities.

Applicants must submit a DD-214 form (military discharge documentation) as proof of Purple Heart award, or alternative documentation recognized by the U.S. Department of Defense or Department of Veterans Affairs.

The act becomes effective July 1, 2014.
