Chief Inspector General must publish final investigative reports on the Executive Office of the Governor website within 10 days of finalizing or receiving reports, unless the investigation is confidential or exempt from disclosure by law.

Agency inspectors general must publish final investigative reports, including all responses and rebuttals, on their agency's website within 10 days of finalizing the report and provide a copy to the Chief Inspector General.

Units of local government must publish final investigative reports by inspectors general on their websites within 10 days after finalizing the report, unless the investigation is confidential or exempt from disclosure by law.

"Unit of local government" is defined to include counties, municipalities, special districts, local agencies, authorities, consolidated city-county governments, and other local governmental bodies authorized or created by law.

The act takes effect July 1, 2014.
