Creates the Sexual Predator and Sexual Offender Absconder Strike Force within the Department of Law Enforcement to develop coordinated strategies for apprehending registered sexual predators and offenders who have absconded from Department of Corrections supervision.

Strike force consists of 10 members including the executive director of the Department of Law Enforcement (chair), Secretary of Corrections (vice chair), Secretary of Juvenile Justice, chair of the Parole Commission, executive director of the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, and five appointed members (two sheriffs, two police chiefs, one state attorney).

Members appointed by the executive director serve staggered 2-4 year terms; all members serve without compensation but receive per diem and travel expense reimbursement; members of the Legislature are prohibited from serving.

Strike force must organize by December 31, 2014, meet at least four times per year, develop a statewide list of known absconders, identify challenges and legal obstacles, and disseminate information to local law enforcement agencies.

Appropriates $101,418 in recurring General Revenue Fund money to the Department of Law Enforcement for fiscal year 2014-2015; act takes effect July 1, 2014, with first annual report due October 1, 2015.
