Urges Congress to recommend that X-linked Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) be included in the Recommended Uniform Screening Panel for state newborn screening programs

Identifies ALD as a hereditary condition that damages the membrane surrounding nerve cells in the brain and causes blindness, deafness, tonic spasms, and mental deterioration

Notes that ALD is inherited as an X-linked recessive trait that can be identified through newborn screening

Requires copies of the memorial be dispatched to the President of the United States, President of the Senate, Speaker of the House, and all members of the Florida congressional delegation
