Requires instructional staff in Florida public schools to teach the history, meaning, significance, and effect of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

Adds instruction on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to required instruction under Florida Statute section 1003.42(2)

Instruction must follow State Board of Education and district school board rules and use materials meeting professional and historic accuracy standards

Encourages the State Board of Education to adopt standards and conduct assessments related to these new instructional requirements

Takes effect July 1, 2014
