City of Hollywood authorized to appropriate and pay an additional $100,000 to Ronald Miller as compensation for injuries from a July 30, 2002 vehicle collision caused by negligence of city employee Robert Mettler

Payment combines with the $100,000 already paid under statutory liability limits under Florida Statutes section 768.28, providing total compensation of $200,000

The combined payments ($100,000 previously paid plus $100,000 under this act) constitute sole compensation for all present and future claims arising from the incident

Attorney fees, lobbying fees, costs, and similar expenses relating to the claim may not exceed 25 percent of the $100,000 award under this act, to be paid on a pro rata basis

Act takes effect upon becoming law
