Creates section 252.905, Florida Statutes, exempting information furnished to the Division of Emergency Management by persons or businesses seeking emergency planning assistance from public records disclosure requirements.

Exemption applies retroactively to information held by the division before, on, or after the effective date of the law.

Exemption is subject to the Open Government Sunset Review Act and automatically repeals on October 2, 2019, unless the Legislature votes to reenact it.

Legislature finds public necessity for the exemption because disclosure of sensitive emergency planning information (such as family meeting locations, business relocation plans, and supplier contacts) would discourage disaster planning and harm businesses competitively.

Takes effect July 1, 2014.
