HB 7079 Summary

• Terminates three trust funds within the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services: Agricultural Law Enforcement Trust Fund (FLAIR 42-2-025), Market Trade Show Trust Fund (FLAIR 42-2-466), and Relocation and Construction Trust Fund (FLAIR 42-2-584).

• Transfers balances and revenues from terminated funds to existing trust funds: Agricultural Law Enforcement transfers to General Inspection Trust Fund, Market Trade Show transfers to Florida Agricultural Promotional Campaign Trust Fund, and Relocation and Construction transfers to Incidental Trust Fund.

• Creates six new trust fund statutes (s. 570.192, 570.193, 570.194, 570.321, 570.441, 570.482, 570.5481) establishing administration and funding procedures for Administrative, Federal Grants, Florida Saltwater Products Promotion, Plant Industry, Pest Control, Citrus Inspection, and Incidental Trust Funds.

• Amends s. 253.025 to redirect proceeds from Relocation and Construction Trust Fund to Incidental Trust Fund and updates references from "Relocation and Construction" to "Incidental" in statute language.

• Amends s. 932.7055 to redirect forfeiture proceeds from Agricultural Law Enforcement Trust Fund to General Inspection Trust Fund; takes effect July 1, 2014.
