Amends s. 288.985, F.S. to clarify that records generated during closed portions of Florida Defense Support Task Force meetings are exempt from public records requirements under s. 119.07(1) and the Florida Constitution.

Exempts records relating to strengths and weaknesses of military installations in Florida and other states, and the state's strategy to retain military bases during any U.S. Department of Defense base realignment and closure (BRAC) process.

Exempts meetings or portions of meetings of the Florida Defense Support Task Force where exempt records are presented or discussed from public meetings requirements.

Removes the criminal penalty provision that imposed first-degree misdemeanor penalties for violations of the section.

Saves the exemption from repeal under the Open Government Sunset Review Act and takes effect October 1, 2014.
