HB 7125 - Renaming of Parole Commission

• Renames the "Parole Commission" to the "Florida Commission on Offender Review" throughout Florida Statutes, recognizing the state's role in inmate transition and recidivism reduction.

• Directs the Division of Law Revision and Information to rename Chapter 947, Florida Statutes, as "Florida Commission on Offender Review."

• Renames the "parole qualifications committee" to the "commissioner qualifications committee" to align with the new commission name.

• Amends 60+ Florida Statutes sections to replace all references to "Parole Commission" with "Florida Commission on Offender Review" while maintaining all existing powers, duties, and functions.

• Effective date: July 1, 2014.
