Exempts Department of Environmental Protection rule 62-42.300, Florida Administrative Code (titled "Minimum Flows and Levels and Recovery and Prevention Strategies") from legislative ratification under s. 120.541(3), Florida Statutes.

Rule 62-42.300 establishes minimum flows and levels for the Lower Santa Fe and Ichetucknee Rivers and associated priority springs, published March 7, 2014, and modified April 8, 2014.

Department must publish notice of this exemption in the Florida Administrative Register at the time of rule filing or as soon thereafter as practicable.

Exemption does not alter existing rulemaking authority, does not preempt other laws governing rule adoption, and does not cure any rulemaking defects or prevent legal challenges to the rule.

Effective date is upon becoming law.
